Hook (Short mat) Bowls club was established in Hook Sports & Social Club in 1989/1990 and is the most successful club in Pembrokeshire. It has won the league championship more times than any other club and is proud to have won the Welsh League Winners trophy three times. Many of its players have represented Wales, with several of them having won Welsh, British and World championship titles: two of our players are current World Pairs champions and will be looking to retain the trophy for the third consecutive year in the World Championships in March 2024.
We are a very friendly club and we always extend a warm welcome to new members and our sport can be enjoyed by people of all ages (our current members range from 9 to 80 years of age), gender, ability level (social bowlers or the more competitive) and those with a disability – there are no limits. We would love to see more members of the community come and have a go – I know you’ll enjoy it.
We’re at the club on Thursdays, 6.30 pm for juniors and 7.30 pm for adults, although some of the adult sessions will be taken up for league and cup games but please see the above poster. If you have any queries or require any further information please contact Paul Hudson on 07815 704907.
